We’re delighted with the designs for this year’s marathon, half and relay medals. St Anne’s Church, known to everyone from Cork as Shandon Bells, takes pride of place. Keeping the ecclesiastical theme for no reason other than they’re beautiful buildings, St Fin Barre’s Cathedral also features. It has nothing to do with the change of date to a Sunday…honestly! The River Lee’s Docklands are an important feature of our city so they feature as well, and a short stroll downriver, there’s our hub of operations at Cork City Hall proudly overlooking the Lee.
We don’t have the medals in our grubby, work-worn hands yet but judging by last year’s medals, we’re sure they’re going to be worthy commemorations of your run with us. Hope you think so too!
