Registration at Civic Offices, Cork City Hall

Registration will take place in the Civic Offices of Cork City Hall on Saturday 30th (11-6) and Sunday 31st (12-6) May 2015.

All marathon and half-marathon participants and at least one member of each team must register to pick up your race number with timing chip, your t-shirt/s and your goody bag/s.

You'll be registering in the Civic Offices of the City Hall. For those who know Cork, it's the glass-fronted building between the City Hall and the main Fire Station on Anglesea Street. If you've registered with us before, it's around the western side of the Concert Hall.

If you park in the City Hall multistorey on Eglinton Street, there's an alleyway between the Civic Offices and the Fire Station that will bring you around to the entrance.

The Expo will be held in the usual place - the Concert Hall.

Please note that you can only enter the registration area from Anglesea Street. There won't be any access from the Concert Hall/Expo.

Procedures for Registration

Half Marathon

For Half Marathoners, you'll need to bring your acceptance slip with you - that's the sheet with your barcode on it. You haven't been assigned a race number in advance, so you must have the barcode to get your number. One of our volunteers will check your barcode first, to make sure that it's reading properly. In the unlikely event that there's a problem with it, you'll have it reprinted at the information desk.

Once you've collected your bib and t-shirt, you'll carry on into the Concert Hall where you'll get your goody bag.


For Marathoners - we decided late in the day to issue race numbers in advance, so that first names could be printed on your race bibs (for those who registered before closing date). You'll receive two duplicate emails from Event Master this week - this will let you know your race number and you'll need to print that sheet for registration.

When you come into the Civic Offices, go straight to the Marathon registration desk as in previous years. If you can't print your race number sheet or you lose it, please go to the information desk.

Team Relay, including Youth Teams

There was some confusion this year about the emailed Relay acceptance slips. Each member of your team was issued with a separate barcode. These sheets cannot be used to register individual members of your team.

Because of the confusion, we're also allocating Race Numbers in advance. Your team captain will receive two duplicate emails from Event Master this week. This will let you know your team's number and you'll need to print that sheet for registration. If you can't print it, or you don't get it in time, please go to the information desk. Remember, while everyone is welcome to come to registration, you only need one member to register your team.

For the Youth teams, your team leader will have received your race number confirmation in the post this week. Please bring this with you.

All team will get your team's envelope (containing race bibs, pins and wristband), t-shirts and goody bags in the Civic Offices. You can then head into the Expo in the Concert Hall.

Please note that there will be no registration on the morning of the race, and race packs cannot be posted out to participants.
