Athletics Association of Ireland (Cork County)

The Cork County Board of the Athletic Association of Ireland is responsible for the promotion and development of athletics in Cork. The Board organises and sanctions athletic events such as track and field competitions, road races and cross-country races for athletes of all ages (tiny tots to over 80s) and standards.

The biggest event organised by the board is the Cork Women's Mini Marathon, which takes place every September. The board also organises coaching for juvenile athletes and coaches. There are over 30 athletic clubs, from every corner of the county, affiliated to the County Board.
